KO8 Fitness Centre - Terms & Conditions
1. Acknowledgment of Risks, Injury & Obligations
I acknowledge that the activity I am to undertake is a dangerous activity and that by participating in it I am exposed to certain risks.
I acknowledge and understand that whilst participating in such activity:
- I may be injured, physically or mentally or may be at risk of being involved in an accident.
- My personal property may be lost or damaged.
- Other persons participating in such activity may cause me injury or may damage my property.
- I may cause injury to other persons or damage their property.
- The conditions in which the activity is conducted may vary without warning.
- There may be no or inadequate facilities for treatment or transport of me if I am injured.
- I assume the risk of and responsibility for any injury, death or property damage resulting from my participation in the activity.
- I come to the gym at my own risk.
- I declare that I am in good physical health and do not have any serious medical conditions whereby I should not partake in exercise and other physical strenuous activity.
- To cancel my membership, I must give the appropriate amount of notice and follow the cancellation process as stated below in section 8.
2. COVID Regulations
If you have any symptoms regarding COVID-19 / Corona Virus, then we urge you contact us immediately and isolate yourself until you are tested and received a ‘Negative’ result. If you are unsure if you have COVID symptoms please see the list below, we are not licensed or legally qualified to diagnose, so the below list is just a guide for your consideration.
Most common symptoms:
- Fever
- Dry cough
Less common symptoms:
- Body aches and pains
- Sore throat
- Diarrhoea
- Conjunctivitis
- Loss of taste or smell
- Skin rash, or discolouration of hands, fingers or toes
Serious symptoms:
- Difficulty breathing or shortness of breath
- Chest pain or pressure
- Loss of speech or movement
Seek immediate medical attention if you have serious symptoms. Always call before visiting your doctor or health facility.
People with mild symptoms who are otherwise healthy should manage their symptoms at home and seek to take a PCR test.
On average it takes 5–6 days from when someone is infected with the virus for symptoms to show, however it can take up to 14 days.
4. Use of Photographs or Videos in Social Media and for Marketing Purposes
I understand that my photo may be taken from time to time and I may be included in videos. It is assumed that by allowing your photo to be taken that you agree for these images to be used. If I do not wish my images to be made public I will inform the gym management or group trainer.
5. Studio Rules
- All members must book the class in advance and register their attendance at the reception on arrival. Walk ins with no booking may be turned away.
- Appropriate clothing must be worn and towels must be used at all times whilst in the studio.
- All equipment must be put back after use.
- Each member must respect other studio users and behave with respect and in an appropriate manner at all times.
- Memberships shall be paid on time and details must be kept up to date and shown on request.
- Shared studio access with a non-member will result in forfeiture of membership effective immediately.
- KO8 Fitness Centre reserves the right to rescind the rights of members not complying with the terms and conditions of the membership.
- If you cannot attend a class that you have booked you are required to cancel it. You must cancel 2 or more hours before the class to give a person on the waiting list a chance to take your spot. Failure to do so, will result in a ‘no show’ which will incur a warning and if repeated will result in a 40aed fine and potential temporary suspension from booking a class. Fines on your account that must be paid before your next class.
6. Fees
- Membership fees are non-refundable upon cancellation or termination for any reason whatsoever.
- The member shall provide Credit Card details for payment of all monthly paid memberships. If the credit card becomes inactive or cancelled the member shall provide new credit card details immediately to KO8 Fitness Centre and agree that KO8 Fitness Centre is authorised to process future payments on the new card.
- For payments that default, KO8 Fitness Centre will attempt to charge the card on a maximum of 3 further occasions. During this time the member may be denied access until outstanding fees are paid.
- Monthly unlimited membership fees are payable on the due date as specified and agreed on the application form. Failure or personal choice not to use the facility will not affect his/her obligation to pay all his/her membership fees.
- All new membership that are on a recurring payment plan will have automated payments taken from your bank on the same date every month. Class pack memberships have a validity date and if your credits are not used within that specific time period they will become void. (See below section for full details)
7. No-Show Charges
- No-show fees are a result of not showing up for a class without providing any notification the facility.

- You will receive an email reminder message the first time you don’t show for a session, but following this your account will automatically be charged. If you’re card is not on file, you will not be able to book any future sessions until the no-show charge is paid.
8. Memberships Cancellations / Membership Pauses

8a) Cancellation Notice
Members must provide written notice vie email detailing their intentions of cancellation within a time period (as detailed below) before the next billing cycle, or desired cancellation date if they are not on a subscription. Please read carefully and understand the notice periods which are stated below for each membership type.
*All notices must be submitted via email to dxb@ko8.fitness.
Class Packs:
All Class Packs (4 class/ 8class / 12 class) require 14 days notice in writing via email to cancel from the subscription.
KO8 Unlimited Membership:
Monthly Commitment - requires 14 days notice
6 Months Commitment - 30 days notice, but only after 3 months
12 Months Commitment - 30 days notice, but only after 6 months
8b) Membership Fees
Any outstanding dues or fees must be settled before the cancellation is processed. Members will be responsible for any charges incurred within the 30-day notice period.
8c) Freeze/ Pause Option
Members have the option to freeze their membership for a maximum of 30 days in a 12 month period. If a longer freeze period is required, a freeze fee of 50aed per month will apply. Members have the right to extend and pay the freeze fees for a maximum of 2 months only. Any further time period beyond this will not qualify for a pause. Notice for freezing the membership must also be given 7 days in advance.
Please note: Members who are still registered to old memberships that are no longer available on our website do not have the option to pause.
8d) Confirmation
Upon receiving the cancellation notice, a confirmation email will be sent to the member within 7 business days. Membership will be considered active until the member receives this confirmation.
8e) Reactivation
Members who wish to reactivate their membership after cancellation will need to reapply and may be subject to current membership rates and fees.
Membership Types & Packages
- ‘Monthly Class pack’ credits must be used within their validity period or they will expire and therefore become unusable. You can use your credits to book any class on the schedule. When you book a class, 1 credit will be deducted from your membership account. 1 class booking = 1 credit.
- ‘KO8 Unlimited’ packages gives you full access to all classes. There is no limit to how many you can book but you must adhere to no show rules and policies.
- ‘Cabin Crew Membership’ gives you full access to all classes. There is no limit to how many you can book but you must adhere to no show rules and policies. You must show proof of employment with your airline company in order to book your first class after payment.
- ‘The Zone - Outdoor Gym Access’ gives you full access to the outdoor gym space. There is no limit to how many visits you make. You do not have to book to attend. You are allowed to bring additional non-members but they must pay a drop-in fee of 100aed for each and every time they accompany you.

By accepting this waiver you are agreeing to all statements written above. You are not required to sign this waiver.
